Following Clark’s departure to the WNBA and the retirement of longtime head coach Lisa Bluder, Jan Jensen stepped into the role of head coach. In her inaugural season, Jensen led the Hawkeyes to a commendable 23–11 record and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
